The castle museum and tower are open every day (except Monday) from 9:00 am till 4:00 pm until 22th December 2024.
At the top of the Mount Kleť (1, 084 m) stands a look-out tower called Josef´s Tower, after Prince Josef of Schwarzenberg who had it bulit between 1822 and 1825. If you look out from the top when the weather is clear, you will see a large part of the Šumava and some peaks in the Alps.

A hundred years after its building, in 1925, there was a Cottage bulit there for tourists. It was patronised by the Princess Terezie of Schwarzenberg, and the Cottage was nemed after her, Terezie´s Cottage.
During the winter and summer it is possible to reach the top by a cablecar, which beginns in Krásetín near Holubov. It is 1752 metres long and it reaches a heidht of 383 metres. It has been in use since 1961. From the years 1958 to 1961 the observatory was bulit (Observatory and Planetárium Kleť).
